Welcome to Windy Ridge
Ernie and Ritzo on Port Eynon Beach
Dogs are very welcome dogs at Windy Ridge. Our two dogs (pictured above) love it here.
You can take dogs onto many of the beaches in the local area although some do have restrictions in the summer. Port Eynon beach allows dogs all year round but only in certain parts in the summer months (1st May to 30th September). https://www.swansea.gov.uk/dogsonbeaches
The Ship Inn, in Port Eynon, has a dog-friendly bar.
Please, please and please again do not allow dogs on any of the furniture including the sofas and beds.
Please do not leave dogs alone in the house as they might get distressed in unfamiliar surroundings.
Please clean up any dog mess in the garden. There are 2 dog poop bins along the lane towards Port Eynon. Please do not leave dog poo in the house hold bins.
There is a hose in the outside storeroom which can be connected to the tap in the front garden on the wall directly opposite the kitchen window. This can be used for washing muddy dogs.
Please close the main front gate to the lane to stop other dogs from coming in and messing in the garden.
Please do not allow dogs into the terraced side garden through the double gate as they can get out into our next-door neighbours’ garden.
The top part of the back garden is as dog proof as we can make it. You can use the fencing panels to block the gap in the wall to shut off the bottom garden. The bottom garden is fenced but the local wildlife tends to hop, skip and jump through and under the fence so if your dog is an escape artist like one of ours, they will be able to find holes and get out.
